Next Generation
Empowering the Next Generation
Makubi Safari Camp is more than a lodge. It is a place where tomorrow’s custodians of Africa’s wilderness are nurtured. Through our Kids Bush Club and our accredited FGASA Guide Training Program, we hand over knowledge, respect, and inspiration to both visiting children and young Africans preparing for careers in guiding and conservation.
Kids Bush Club
The Kids Bush Club transforms a family safari into a hands‑on classroom of nature. Children are invited to explore, learn, and play in ways that connect them deeply to the bush.
– Tracking & Discovery: Young explorers learn to follow footprints, identify bird calls, and recognize plants used for food or medicine.
– Bushcraft & Cooking: Around the fire, children prepare simple bush snacks and discover how food, culture, and wilderness are woven together.
– Conservation Awareness: Playful activities introduce the balance of ecosystems and the importance of protecting them.
– Family Impact: Parents often recall the moment their children’s eyes lit up — holding a giraffe skull, watching elephants pass, or listening to Tende explain the rhythms of the wild.
The Kids Bush Club ensures that curiosity becomes respect, and respect becomes the first step toward custodianship of nature. .
Makubi Safari Camp is proud to be an accredited FGASA in‑house training provider — one of the very few in Tanzania.
Tendekayi (“Tende”) Guni leads the program as a FGASA Level 3 Professional Guide and certified FGASA trainer. This combination is exceptionally rare, giving young guides access to world‑class mentorship without leaving Tanzania.
– FGASA (Field Guides Association of Southern Africa) is internationally recognized as the gold standard in safari guiding, setting rigorous standards of knowledge, ethics, and ecological interpretation.
– Under Tende’s mentorship, guides gain both international qualifications and ancestral wisdom, learning to read animal behavior calmly and respectfully, and to interpret ecosystems with depth and clarity.
– Guests benefit directly: guides trained to FGASA standards create safe, respectful, and awe‑inspiring encounters, while offering professional interpretation of the wilderness.
